My friend Leigh told me about this amazing idea that she came up with, of personalizing beach towels for the cottage. How amazing would this be as a hostess gift? This morning she sent me the photo of the towels that she did and explained the process. "I bought these big colourful beach towels at Homesense (about $15/towel) and then took them to the local sports store in town that specializes in hockey and baseball equipment," she says. "For $5 a towel, they embroidered huge red numbers in a classic serif font on each towel."As a cottager, I know how towels get tossed around so you are constantly wondering where your own is. I love the idea that every weekend, everyone has their own number. Kids will always remember which towel is theirs!
