Allow me to introduce you to Kristen and El Granto of
Storefront Life. This crafty couple documents the renovation of their 100 year old storefront conversion home in downtown Toronto, Ont. through their website and
social media and continue to blow me away with their skill and craftsmanship. I came across this handy duo through a friend who was looking to design and make her own
farmhouse table. Fascinated by furniture making and woodworking, I followed the progress online. In doing so, I became enamoured with Kristen and El Granto’s impressive
DIY home restoration, furniture and decor projects. [caption id="attachment_22749" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Love this polished concrete waterfall counter."]

It’s the age-old tale of young urban dwellers who move into their new home only to discover it requires a number of updates and new decor that their budget can't quite fit. So they took it upon themselves to saw, stain, paint and create their dream home.
I’m completely inspired by their woodwork (that Restoration Hardware-inspired printmakers media cabinet blew me away!) and love the fact that they break down their how-to, including materials and costs, tools used and level of difficulty. It makes me feel like even I could accomplish these DIYs! Here are a few of my favourite
decor projects they've created: [caption id="attachment_22751" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Custom DIY headboard."]
