5 Easy (& Cheap) Spring Decor Swaps For A Fresh Look
It doesn't take much to give your home some new life.
More daylight, more sunshine, more fresh air—with the season's finally changing, we're welcoming spring into our homes with wide arms and open windows. And although we love a spring clean, sometimes the best way to give your space a fresh feel is with a few simple decor swaps.
It's time to put away your furry blankets and dark, moody pillows in favour of lighter and brighter colours and fabrics—and it doesn't have to cost a lot. We've got five easy and inexpensive ways you can give your home a new look for spring.
5 spring decor swaps
1. Change your bedding
After a winter spent wrapped up in a warm and cozy bed, it's time to bring some lighter fabrics into the mix. Air out your duvet and then bring in some new sheets. Try linens and cottons in soft hues or earth tones. They're more breathable on warm nights and will feel fresh and cool against your skin.

2. Try a new fragrance
Say goodbye to the stuffy smells of winter with something invigorating. Whether you love burning candles, using an oil diffuser or reeds, the fresh scents of spring are waiting for you.
3. Upgrade Your Coffee Table Decor
Fresh flowers (real or fake!), a design book, a shiny tray—you can makeover your coffee table without having to buy new furniture. Not sure what makes the perfect formula for that "Insta-worthy" look? We've got some inspiration and a few tips for you.

4. Change out your throw pillows
Give your living room some love by switching your velvet and furry pillows with bright and patterned picks. Adding a splash of colour or a cutie floral pattern will completely change the way you feel when you walk in the room. Whether you want to overhaul all of your pillows or work some new ones in with a few old, make sure you know how to properly pair them for a designer-approved look.
5. Light it up
Adding more light to your space in spring may feel counterintuitive, but layering lighting adds a welcoming atmosphere to your fresh home—these designer spaces prove it. Go for a floor lamp or a small table top light with a little personality if you want to add some playfulness to your decor. Now is the time to experiment!
