1 If you could shadow any designer for a day, who would it be?
Ann Marie Favot I don’t really have one particular favorite designer, I love too many different styles to have one favorite. Elle Decoration UK featured Designer Barbara Bendix Becker and her husband Jacob Holm's (CEO of Danish Furniture Company) house back in February that I am in love with. It's a perfect mix of design classics and antiques, minimal but not cold.
2 Where do you look for an obscure source of inspiration?
AMF I had a teacher that once said you are only as good as your tear sheet file so when I look for inspiration I go straight to that file. I have images that are up to 15 years old, but are often relevant.
3 Favourite restaurant?
AMF My mom’s house. I am not very adventurous when it comes to food and she knows exactly what I like.
4 What's your favourite room to decorate?
AMF I am enamoured with fabric so I would say the bedroom since you can use it in so many ways in that room.
5 What's your current paint colour obsession?
AMF Pale pink and, of course, white.
6 If one song could be the soundtrack to your life, what would it be?
AMF Not sure I guess it depends how I am feeling that day.
7 What's the one store you could spend hours browsing?
AMF ABC Carpet and Home - seven floors of yumminess, it's so inspiring.
8 London, Paris or New York?
AMF Paris - everything is so beautiful there!
9 If money were no object, what one thing would you buy?
AMF Hans Wegner Wishbone Chair and Matteo Linen sheet set and coverlet. I am obsessed with linen!
10 What do you consider to be the most iconic design piece of the past century?
AMF Saarinen tulip table has never lost its elegant style and popularity even though it was designed in 1956.
