holiday decor: glitter place card animals
Looking to add a little sparkle to your holiday table top this year? Take a look at these fun & festive, but simple DIY place cards I made. They took only minutes to craft together...although fair warning - you WILL be covered in glitter for the rest of the day. Check out the steps below & shout out to Erin McLaughlin for coming up with this holiday craft - great find!
Step One: Gather your materials - You'll need craft glue, a paint brush, glitter and a tray to catch excess glitter, small plastic toy animals, a gold sharpie, blank tags and metallic thread.
Step Two: Start painting your animals with glue - make sure you cover them in a solid coat of glue as going back later once you've glittered can be a bit of a pain.
Step Three: Let your glitter animals dry. I tapped my animals on the tray a few times to get off some of the excess glitter.
Step 4: Using a gold sharpie and ready made tags, write the names of your dinner guests. Tie on a piece of metallic thread to attach the tag around the neck of the animal. Step 5: Place a DIY place card at each seat, then stand back and admire your work! Ta da! These place cards are sure to be a conversation starter at your next diner party.
