Quebec-based Jaymar’s new BB collection – in French, the name sounds like bébé! – features a super-comfy recliner specifically designed for cuddling, nursing or just rocking your little one. The new Jaymar BB recliner chair is available in two styles and four models and is handcrafted by Jaymar’s skilled artisans at its factory in Terrebonne, Que.

Jaymar BB furnishings meet a host of strict environmental and ethical standards, making them especially suitable for the sensitive environment of the nursery. The company plans to expand the collection to include more high-quality furnishings designed for baby’s room over the coming months.

One of our favourite pieces is the made-to-order Arya swivel reclining armchair (from $1,950), which features removable cushions you can adjust to put your- self into just the right position for maximum cuddling. Crate and Barrel has just unveiled fashion designer Laura Kim’s collection of serveware, textiles and other stylish items for the entire home. (Laura, who hails from Calgary, is a co-founder of the cult-favourite Monse clothing line and co-creative director of Oscar de la Renta.) What sets the new collection apart is Laura’s talent for unfussy, natural designs with a subtle, quirky, modern edge. Some of our favourites include serving boards and dessert stands made of marble; a wine stopper shaped like a goldendoodle (her dog, King, is much loved on Instagram); and a glamorous MCM-inspired red oak dining chair with tapered spindles and a burnished leather seat. Smart Switcheroo

When a full-on reno isn’t in the cards, switching in a new faucet is a smart and affordable way to update your kitchen.
