Before the DIY.

Materials

• Antique rattan or bamboo demi-lune table
• Cloth
• Spray primer
• Spray paint

Instructions
1 Remove the glass top from the table, then wipe the table clean with a damp cloth to remove any dust.

2 Apply one coat of spray primer to the table; let dry.

3 Apply five coats of spray paint in a colour of your choice (we used Rust- Oleum Painter’s Touch in Sun Yellow). Avoid drips by spraying light coats and allowing the paint to dry between coats; turn the table over to cover all surfaces. Let the table dry completely.

4 Replace the glass top.

TIP Before you begin, check that all the joints of the rattan or bamboo table are wrapped securely, with no fraying. Ensure that the piece is sturdy and there are no splits in the wood.
