What do you value most when you visit a hotel? Amenities? Proximity to places of interest? Bang for your buck? It's probably a combination of all of these and more but sometimes that most valuable thing of all can be indescribable, intangible. It's just ... a feeling. Whether you travel for business or leisure, your adventure can be made or broken by the experience you have at your hotel. Beautiful hotels abound around the globe - but in some cases, beauty may only be marble-lobby deep. The real measure of a hotel's success is the feeling it gives guests. The Marriott Executive Apartments, Sukhumvit Park in Bangkok has got it mastered. It's that feeling of being in a home away from home.

The 300-apartment MEA Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok opened at the end of October 2009. Designed for guests looking for long-term stays (think business travelers who are relocated for a month, for example), the MEA Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok also offers shorter hotel stays to overnight guests at a fraction of the cost of other high-end hotels. "Complementing the 300 apartments is a modern bistro with  indoor and outdoor dining, a grab n' go outlet, extensive exercise and  recreation facilities and five meeting rooms with space for up to 140 in the  largest," says Richard  Wallace, the hotel's General Manager. "Leo Design International did the interior design under the guidance and direction of Marriott's Architecture and Construction Division."

The hotel's got all the amenities any guest could want but it's the feeling of being at home that makes this place really special. Suites feature separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and laundry facilities plus a dash of hotel chic.

"The interior colour palette of the rooms is vibrant, warm and welcoming, reflecting the culture, energy and pulse of Bangkok, this grand Asian city and capital of Thailand," says Richard. "With contemporary artworks and accessories, soft lighting for ambiance, comfortable furnishing and facilities, including a beautiful garden, the hotel offers a sense of well-being for our guests." marriott-two-bedroom-apartment.jpg
MEA Sukhumvit Park offers studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. At about 1,400-square feet, the two-bedroom apartment pictured here is mega-spacious, giving guests enough room to spread out and feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with large and small appliances (no need to forgo your morning coffee!) and the separate living room is a relaxing space in calming colours. The overall design is simple but modern and the bedroom, featuring dark woods, white linens and Marriott's signature 'Revive' bed, is totally drool-worthy. If anything makes you want to move right in, it'll be the bedroom. marriott-one-bedroom-apartment.jpg
Close your eyes and just picture yourself flopping down on the couch to catch some TV after a long day exploring Bangkok under the hot and tiring sun. This is just the kind of place you'll want to come home to. Leather furniture and leather paneled walls lend a modern effect to the space and the floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the bustling city outside. marriott-pool.jpg
The 25-metre outdoor swimming pool is accessible to all guests. There's a poolside bar for drinks and casual dining. Take a dip and enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city below. marriott-lounge-deck.jpg
The outdoor lounge is kept immaculately clean and the grounds perfectly manicured. Fulfilling guests' need for a backyard, this outdoor oasis is the perfect place to meet with friends or enjoy some quiet time outside. marriott-bistro.jpg
Bright and colourful, Bistro M feels typically Thai in its upbeat feeling. The trendy restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers guests a variety of options from traditional Thai fare to international delicacies.
