The Brief

Create an open, airy, yet grounded space. Massive log beams and dark tongue-and-groove suggested moody, earthy tones for consistency. The position of the beams limited the layout, so maximizing function would be key.

Favourite Features

Though dark and moody, the kitchen has enough light and textural elements to be soft and welcoming. Hand-formed clay tiles add an organic layer, and the beams bring warmth. It’s an ideal space for entertaining.
