Before & After: A Warm Sunroom Turned Home Office

See how this underused space was transformed into a cozy, light-filled home office.

Converting the former entryway/sunroom into a home office was a challenge due to the damaged floors, stained walls and noisy neon light. But now it’s a warm and welcoming space that works.

Favourite Features

  • Woven Roman shades add a beautiful organic texture and relaxed, summery vibe.
  • The built-in closet and bench do double duty providing generous storage while cleverly hiding unsightly HVAC pipes.
  • The custom Squiggle desk (check out the shapely leg!) lends a surprising, playful touch.
  • The repetition of curved shapes – in the lighting, furniture, accessories and even the shades – creates a soft, soothing space and balances the lines of the shiplap and closet.

Top Tip

Adorning the walls and ceiling with shiplap provided much-needed personality. Varying the plank widths plays up the charming detail even more for a unique yet timeless look.
