places to go, people to see: union station holiday market
Calling all commuters. If you're one of the hundreds of thousands of people who pass through Toronto's Union Station, you're in luck. The busy train station's picturesque great hall will house a holiday market all through next week (December 1 through 7). Hosted by Toronto Market Co., the
event will showcase artisanal pieces from 22 vendors. Grab the perfect gift for that hard-to-please person on my holiday shopping list on my way to the office? Don't mind if I do! Here are a few favourites that I'm coveting.
Online artisanal retailer
Brika will offer up x-mas cuties like this Joy to the World toss cushion by Casa & Co. and graphic stocking by Toronto's own Avril Loreti.
For a bit of bling that will stay stylish well past
New Years, how about a cheeky necklace from
Foxy Originals (also Canadian) that reminds its recipient to Sparkle Everyday or Dream Big?
And if anyone is shopping for yours truly, I'll take a glamorous cat-in-a-party-hat mug, thank you very much! But seriously, what pet lover wouldn't swoon over one of these tokens by
Whimworks?
