Sweet cottage season is finally here, and there’s no sense in driving for hours to arrive at a summer escape that’s not adequately decked out in pretty! I’m definitely of the mindset that every summer home needs a beautifully made blanket – it’s the perfect getaway accessory. Some of my favourites are the chunky merino throw blankets from New York-based Loopy Mango and the hand-dyed wool landscape blankets by Halifax artist Joanna Close. Continuing with the textile theme, I’m also in love with Maker & Merchant’s whimsical screen-printed linen toss cushions (for cottage living, I’m especially fond of this Ship Ahoy number!).
