Take a look inside Canada’s smallest hotel room

Go inside Canada’s first pod hotel, located in the heart of Richmond, BC.

In recent years, we’ve been  obsessed with all things ‘tiny’—from tiny houses to tiny food, everything small seems to be cool. And now we can’t stop hearing about tiny hotels:  hotels that offer the luxury and comfort of five-star stays but on a much smaller scale (in size and budget!).

The woman-owned Panda Pod Hotel in Richmond, B.C., is Canada's answer to this trend.. Their goal? To make travel more accessible for more people. “When getting away, the highest cost is accommodation, and we wanted to remove that barrier,”the Panda Pod website says.

How big is each room?

Each pod measures 6.5 feet in length, 3.6 feet in width, and 3.2 feet in height.

What does each room include?

More than you’d think! For the ultimate comfortable and stress-free stay, each pod is equipped with privacy blinds, is soundproofed, and is ducted with industrial air filtration. Plus, since the pods have such small carbon footprints on top of using intuitive lighting, you are actually making choices that are better for the environment than booking a traditional hotel room.
