Hotel Style: The Drake Devonshire

After spending an evening, a few dinners and a day (shooting Canadian Living's January/February 2019 fashion story) it's still very hard to determine the best part of The Drake Devonshire in Prince Edward County, Ontario. The lakeside locale is obviously lovely. The art installations woven throughout the property offer up fun. The rooms are full of colour and whimsy. You'd be hard-pressed to pick a standout room. The truth is, all facets — from the floor-to-ceiling mural in one of the events space right down to the cute felt doll perched on every bed — contribute to the beautiful, modern and incredibly well-curated space that is the Drake Devonshire. You'll have to visit yourself to see.

The Owner's Suite

The best room in the place is undoubtedly the Owner's Suite which has it's own fireplace and stunning desk that looks over the water. You'll wake up to the sound of waves in the morning. This is the view from outside, looking in.

Cozy up in a king size bed, dedicated work area (if you have to work) and a little reading nook (just beyond the fireplace). We recommend taking advantage of it all to really feel like home.
