Salvage shops
Calling all Canadian pickers! Forever Interiors, Post + Beam Reclamation, Metropolis Living and Smash are just a few of the many salvage shops in the Junction (not to mention among Toronto’s best). You’ll find historic architectural pieces and old furniture that’s just waiting for a coat of paint.
Mjölk
Offering simple Scandinavian- and Japanese-designed products that boast equal doses of quality craftsmanship and beauty, Mjölk (pronounced “mi-yelk” – “milk” in Swedish) is a haven for design aficionados. Owners John Baker and Juli Daoust select items with a museum curator’s eye, and their shop, with its clean simplicity, is designed to appear that way.

Bunner’s
Enjoy vegan and gluten-free baked treats without sacrificing deliciousness at Bunner’s. Its sweet, sticky cinnamon buns topped with a vegan buttercream frosting are a hit. Get there early in the morning (it’s open at 10 a.m. from Monday to Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday) to try one straight from the oven, served piping hot.
Locomotive
Stop by for one of the most delicious sandwiches you’ll ever have. Locomotive is a nod to the area’s railroad history and prefers to make things the old-fashioned way. Its flavourful sandwich meats are marinated, brined and cured on-site. And don’t miss the expertly crafted Italian-style espresso. Bellissimo!
Junction Farmers Market and Junction Flea
Shop for local produce and fresh foods every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Junction Farmers Market. And on the second Sunday of every month, the Junction Flea features vendors selling antiques, crafts and gourmet finds.
