This Is The Trend Designers Are Loving For 2025

When planning a design, experts keep in mind seven main design principles. They range from unity to contrast, with a special emphasis on curating original and organic details to elevate the space.

One of the most striking detail-oriented trends we’ve seen this year is that of texture. Ribbed walls, grainy wallpaper, and sherpa couches bring a subtle sense of life to a room without commanding too much attention.

Lucky for us, it seems like this trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

How to incorporate texture into your design

Walls and ceiling

A hint of ribbing along this built-in shelf brings an air of warmth to this cozy space.

A striking wine shade highlights the texture of this wood panelled ceiling. Added colour drenching enhances the cocoon-like nature of the bedroom.

Furniture

Plush sherpa chairs bring this otherwise sleek space to life.

A rattan coffee table, woven rug, and soft chairs contrast each other harmoniously.

Wallpaper and tiles

You can practically feel the texture of this dining room wallpaper through the screen! The pink hues match elegantly with the textured rug, chairs, and heavily-veined table.

The wider strips of grout between these chic subway tiles make them appear as if they're floating off the walls.

Fireplaces

Ribbing along the marble of this fireplace adds dimension to the statement piece.
