High Impact

This room features imaginative wallpaper with a softly veined look that’s in sync with the marble in the nearby kitchen. To keep the pattern a focal point, designer Luke Havekes opted for a sink and toilet in a rich tone that’s less stark than white.

Jewel Box

“Since this is a contained space, I took a chance and went for a hit of juicy colour and gold accents,” says designer Arren Williams. The ceiling light is vintage (he had it in storage awaiting the perfect place), and the carefree-colour sink is made in Canada from cast concrete. The sconce cleverly plays against the sink’s curves and the two-tone mirror.

Vacation Vibes

Want to bring Beverly Hills home? Start with a large-scale palm-frond wallpaper from Versace, add marble, then a flash of gold at the faucet, in the mirror frame and accessories – and voilà. This powder room gets its star power from big and bold statements: note the oversize drawer pulls on the vanity, and the striking swirly pendant.

Cheery Fun

Designer Arren Williams layered the room in pattern, from the colourful wallpaper studded in Amazonian water lilies and birds to the graphic marble floor. New dramatic black wainscotting relates to the mould- ing elsewhere on the first level. Says Arren, “We painted the interior of the door black, too, so when you go in, it’s this perfect little world.”
