The 2025 Exterior Colours Of The Year We Know So Far
Freshen up your deck with a new coat of paint this year!
BeautiTone has announced its 2025 exterior colour of the year: Briarwood (WST26-9). A muted brown, this shade is ideal for elevating the natural character of wooden decks.
“This year, Canadians are going back to their roots of natural, enhanced browns in their backyards,” says Kristen Gear, lead design and colour specialist with BeautiTone Paint and Home Products.
This semi-transparent stain is specifically designed to withstand and protect wood surfaces from the elements.
“As outdoor spaces continue to evolve into essential parts of the home, Briarwood offers the perfect balance of style and durability, bringing a fresh and on-trend update to any exterior,” says Gear.

Another paint company, Behr, also released its exterior stain colour of the year. Cedar is a warm, earthy hue inspired by the natural tones of cedar wood.
This shade is available in a solid colour stain for a more opaque look, or a semi-transparent stain.
